White-Glove Storage
White-Glove Storage in Portland, Oregon
Your new home isn’t ready. Your old home closes Friday. Or you’re mid-renovation and living in a rental. Or you’re staging a house for sale. The things that get you through those weeks are the ones you’d normally live with — and the worst place for them is a dusty self-storage locker you keep driving to in rush-hour traffic. That’s what our storage is for.

Who this is for
Storage is almost always a bridge, not a destination. We hold belongings for clients navigating four scenarios:
- Between close dates — your old home closed, your new one hasn’t. Sometimes it’s days, sometimes it’s weeks. We hold everything until you say “come deliver.”
- During a renovation — furniture, art, and valuables out of the way while contractors work, returned when the dust settles.
- Estate settlements and downsizing — time to sort through inherited or accumulated belongings without the pressure of a move-out deadline.
- Home staging for sale — your real furniture goes into vault storage while the stager’s furniture goes in. When the house closes, your furniture comes to the new home.
What makes our storage different
Most “moving and storage” companies don’t actually store anything. They subcontract to a third-party warehouse, hand your belongings to a crew you’ve never met, and hope nothing goes wrong. That’s not what we do.
Our own Portland warehouse
Your belongings stay with PDX Premier Movers end to end. We pick them up with our crew, transport them in our trucks, store them in our facility, and deliver them with our crew. No third-party handoffs. No “we’ll see if we can find someone to retrieve that for you.”
Individual wooden vaults — not open racking
Each client’s belongings are stored in their own wooden vault — a sealed wood crate that only your items occupy. Nothing is stacked on top of a mattress that isn’t yours. Nothing is next to a box that belongs to someone else. If you’ve seen photos of warehouse storage where everything sits on open shelving, that’s what we don’t do.
Same crew in, same crew out
The team that packs and loads your belongings at pickup is the same team familiar with them at delivery. No passing your inventory through three companies. No one wondering what a padded lamp was for.
Inventory manifest per vault
Every vault is logged with a written inventory at intake: what’s in it, what condition it’s in, what needs extra care on retrieval. You get a copy. When it’s time to retrieve, we know exactly what we’re coming to get.
How our storage works
- Walkthrough and quote — we size the vault count and estimate the storage fee
- Pickup day — same white-glove crew as a full move: floor protection, wrapping, disassembly as needed
- Inventory and vault load — everything catalogued into the right number of vaults, with a written manifest
- Storage — billed monthly; hold as long as you need with no pressure to rush the retrieve
- Retrieval and delivery — same crew, same care, delivered to your new home with reassembly included
Where we pick up and deliver from storage
Our warehouse is in Portland; we pick up and deliver from storage across the metro:
- Portland proper — Pearl, West Hills, Alameda, Irvington, Laurelhurst, Sellwood
- Lake Oswego · West Linn · Dunthorpe
- Washington County — Beaverton, Tigard, Hillsboro
- Clackamas County — Oregon City, Happy Valley, Milwaukie
For clients moving out of state who need bridge storage in Portland before long-distance delivery, we coordinate the hand-off with your interstate carrier on the retrieval end.
What clients say
★★★★★
“Oh my gosh, I can’t even begin to say enough about how incredible this company is. From getting a quote, to scheduling a moving day (rescheduling, and rescheduling again due to my house sale falling through and closing dates changed). Communication was on point always which is huge for me. And Kathryn was very easy to communicate with and understanding when things had to change almost last minute.”

Frequently asked questions
How long can I keep things in storage?
As long as you need. We have clients who store for two weeks between close dates and clients who store for a year through a full renovation. Storage is billed monthly; there’s no maximum term.
Is there a minimum storage period?
One month is our minimum. We don’t prorate for storage under 30 days — the cost of the pickup, vault loading, and retrieval is structurally the same whether it’s in the vault for a week or a month.
Can I access items before the full retrieval?
Yes, with notice. Partial retrievals — for example, retrieving a specific piece of furniture or a labeled box mid-storage — are billed as a separate retrieval trip. Plan ahead where possible; last-minute retrievals aren’t always same-day.
Is the warehouse climate controlled?
Our warehouse is a secure, dry, temperature-stable environment — not a refrigerated space, but well-protected from the extremes. For collections that require strict climate control (fine wine, certain instruments, archival documents), we’ll tell you honestly whether our facility is the right fit or whether you need a specialized climate-storage vendor.
What about insurance during storage?
Our full-value protection continues while your items are in our vaults. If something is damaged during storage or handling, the same coverage applies as during a move. We document condition at intake so claims are straightforward.
How is storage billed?
Flat monthly rate per vault. You know the number going in. No surprise fees, no “peak-season” surcharges. The quote you get at the walkthrough includes pickup, storage per month, and retrieval delivery.
What’s the minimum vault size?
One vault is the minimum; most one-to-two-bedroom moves fit in one or two vaults, most full homes fit in three to five. We’ll estimate the vault count at the walkthrough so you know the monthly cost before you commit.
Need storage for your move?
Every storage engagement starts with a walkthrough so we can size the vault count, quote the monthly rate accurately, and plan the pickup around your close date.
